Class Descriptions Mommy and Me: This class offers postpartum mothers the opportunity to reconnect with their bodies. The sequencing will help moms to regain their strength, relieve stress and bond with their baby. 1hr class. We will be offering class on the following Mondays this summer. June 30, July 14, July 21, July 28 at 11:30am. Please contact The Studio if you wish to attend.
Vinyasa: A challenging class that unites your breath with your body offering a variety of asanas for all levels of yoga practioners. Be prepared to calm your mind and enlighten your spirit.
Power Vinyasa: A vinyasa class kicked up a notch. Open to all levels.
Gentle Vinyasa: This class is appropriate for the beginner student as well as the seasoned yogi who would like to slow down their pace. We take our time moving in and out of the poses, taking the time to look inward to feel the benefits of each poses. Verbal instructions and modifications are offered to encourage the student to work at their own level.
Brand New Beginners: This class is for students new to yoga or for those who wish to work on the foundations of the postures. This class is for all levels of students, modifications will be offered to support each body type.
Yoga for Stress Relief: Yoga allows us to take time out for ourselves, to just relax and let go of your stress. This class will enable you to become more peaceful in stressful situations and to balance your mind, body and spirit. Postures and breathing techniques are designed to enhance strength, coordination, flexibility and relaxation. Learn to still the mind, become centered and focused. This is an all level class.
Yin Yoga: A soft practice in which you hold a series of poses for 5 minutes. Allow your body to sink into the postures while stretching the appropriate ligaments and tendons. Come and quite your mind and open your body!
Pilates Core Conditioning: Uses a modified approach to the mind/body exercises developed by Joseph Pilates, this class will improve your flexibility, stamina and strength. Appropriate for all fitness levels.
Gentlemen’s Class: This gentlemen’s class will be structured to address the needs of men and there bodies with focus on hamstrings, hips & shoulder opening. This class will move slowly, postures will be held for extended periods of time and breath awareness will be stressed.
Prenatal Yoga:Yoga is an ancient practice that has been proven to strengthen and heal both body and mind. Prenatal yoga classes focus on meditation, breathing exercises and yoga postures that help you more easily adapt to the physical and emotional changes that occur during pregnancy and childbirth. Practicing prenatal yoga on a regular basis will teach you to influence your body and mind in a positive way. The relaxation skills, strength and flexibility developed during prenatal yoga classes will minimize the discomforts of pregnancy, help guide you through a short comfortable childbirth and prevent long term wear and tear on the body. Prenatal yoga is one of the safest and most highly effective exercise regimens during pregnancy because of the numerous physical and psychological benefits. No previous experience with yoga is required. This class is run in a six week series for $78.00. Class is currently running, please contact The Studio to join.
Lunch Time Yoga: Come take a healthy break from your workday…breathe and stretch, then grab a healthy snack before returning to work. Available on Wednesdays at noon. Call ahead.
